Event organized by Hi-Tech Ambiente.
Hi-Tech Ambiente is the B2B magazine for environmental management and technologies that, since 1989, has been effectively promoting products and services from companies in the environmental sector.
At Labotec, Hi-Tech Ambiente aims to bring an innovative perspective to the textile and fashion sectors, focusing on chemical analysis of materials, physical product testing, and process traceability — all strategic elements in meeting the growing market demand for environmental and circular sustainability.
Session Content
The conference addresses chemical-physical analyses on environmental matrices and materials—topics of great relevance for the fashion industry, which faces numerous challenges in adapting to increasingly strict regulations and meeting the demands of a market that is ever more conscious, demanding, and environmentally aware.
The first presentation will focus on the recovery processes of tannery sludge for the production of fertilizers — unique resources for agricultural use due to their high content of protein-based organic matter and low levels of contaminants. In particular, the case of the Cuoiodepur plant in San Miniato will be examined, a facility dedicated to the treatment of tannery wastewater sludge, and the related research path that, over the years, has led to the development of a high-quality organic fertilizer and its subsequent national quality certifications.
The second presentation will explore the issue of contamination in materials used in the fashion industry and everyday items, addressing the impact of environmental and food-related pollutants on the products that surround us.
The third and final presentation will delve into the importance of sustainability in the fashion supply chain, which is driving the search for new recycling solutions for materials used in production cycles. A case study will be presented by Revet Spa, showcasing the design of a material created from recycled post-consumer PE/PP mixed with leather waste. The resulting material is intended for reuse in fashion products. Pontlab carried out the necessary physical and chemical testing to characterize and fine-tune the material.
The event will be held in Italian
